SNOW, SNOW, QUICK, QUICK, SNOW!! - With the mild autumn we have been experiencing I thought it might be a novelty to look back upon a winter that sticks out in people's memory. Remember around 12 years ago when the power lines were brought down due to extreme weather conditions and Tibby was plunged into darkness for a week. Sales of candles and "Super-Ser" calor heaters went through the roof...even worse still the electric pumps didn't work in the pubs ( thank goodness for bottled beer)....CLICK HERE for a few photographic memories. Tibby housing prices seem to be going up faster than the Village Hall
Budget at the minute. Even the webmaster is getting tired of
"junk mail" from estate agents....with a twist in the tail that
they are not trying to make you BUY anything - they're trying to get
you to SELL. A strong rumour went round the other week that a property on
a certain Tibshelf estate was being put up for £300,000. Now that
seems a little too steep for a greenhouse, even if it is in Tibby!
